Mike Yastrzemski - Leaves yard Tuesday Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.

Impact Yastrzemski led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run off Aaron Civale to bring the Giants within a run of the Brewers. Three of his last five hits have left the yard, though he's struggled with a .208 average and 31 percent strikeout rate in September so far. For the year, he's slashing .237/.311/.434 with 14 homers, 46 RBI, 51 runs, three steals and a 34:108 BB:K in 413 plate appearances.

Jordan Hicks - Begins rehab assignment Hicks (shoulder) allowed two unearned runs over two innings in his first rehab appearance with Single-A San Jose on Tuesday.

Impact Hicks struck out a pair and threw 27 pitches in his first appearance since landing on the 15-day injured list two weeks ago with right shoulder inflammation. It might be the only rehab outing he requires before rejoining the Giants, which could come later this week.

Landen Roupp - Fares well in start Roupp (0-1) took the loss against the Brewers on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out three over five innings.

Impact The Brewers piled on four of their five hits against Roupp in the first inning, leading to two runs and a lead they would never give back. Roupp was able to complete 68 pitches and only allowed an infield single over the next four innings following a rocky opening frame. Three of his last four outings have gone at least three innings and he's maintained a 1.33 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over nine appearances (20.1 innings) since Aug. 9. It remains to be seen whether Roupp's next appearance will be made as a starter or out of the bullpen and will likely hinge on whether the Giants are able to get Robbie Ray (hamstring) back from the injured list next week.

Impact Spencer Bivens got the start but couldn't get through five innings. The Giants led 6-1 when Bivens was relieved by Miller, and they were able to hold the lead the rest of the way to give the southpaw reliever his first win since July 9. Ryan Walker - Secures another save Sunday Walker got the save over the Padres again Sunday, completing five outs while not allowing any baserunners.

Impact Walker entered in the eighth with one out after Camilo Doval coughed up a two-run homer to make it a 7-6 game and then walked a batter to bring the leading run up to the plate for the Padres. Walker was able to get out of the inning and then pitched a perfect ninth to lock up the win for the Giants. Walker's now converted seven consecutive save chances and owns a sparkling 1.82 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 95:16 K:BB in 74.1 innings this season.

Impact Matos was the latter part of back-to-back home runs against Joe Musgrove in the fifth and picked up his first hit in 10 plate appearances since being called back up Sept. 3. He's struck out multiple times in all three appearances he's made since his return to the majors and won't have a shot at a bigger role unless injuries in front of him arise. For the year, Matos is slashing .211/.235/.340 with five homers, 25 RBI, 13 runs and a 5:24 BB:K in 153 plate appearances.

Jerar Encarnación - Crushes three-run homer Encarnacion went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Impact Encarnacion followed up Matt Chapman's two-run homer in the fifth with a three-run blast to put the Giants up 5-0. It was his first extra-base hit since he last homered Aug. 18 and he's now notched at least one base hit in each of his last five games. Still, he's made just four starts since Aug. 31 and doesn't appear to have a path to a larger role unless injuries happen in front of him. For the year, Encarnacion is slashing .257/.293/.429 with three homers, 13 RBI, eight runs, a steal and a 4:23 BB:K in 75 plate appearances.

Matt Chapman - Homers, swipes bag in win Chapman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Impact Chapman took Joe Musgrove deep in the fourth to get the Giants on the board for his 23rd of the season. He now has at least a hit in 11 of his last 12 starts and is slashing .357/.386/.643 with a 1.029 OPS over that span. Chapman also swiped his 15th base of the year and is 15-for-17 on stolen base attempts this season after coming into the year just 11-for-23 in that category for his career. A 20-20 campaign is not out of reach for the 31-year-old, who is now slashing .251/.334/.451 with 58 extra-base hits, 71 RBI, 92 runs and a 61:145 BB:K in 595 plate appearances.
