Alex Wood - Diagnosed with hamstring strain Wood left Tuesday's start against the Marlins with a left hamstring strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Wood picked up the injury while fielding a sacrifice fly in the third inning of his start against the Marlins. The left-hander should be considered day-to-day for now, but there's a very good chance he'll need to miss a start or two depending on the severity of the strain.

Impact Pederson was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right wrist injury that required a cortisone shot, but the injection appears to have cleared up the inflammation the 30-year-old had been experiencing. Haniger will likely need multiple games in the minors to get his timing back at the plate and play a full nine innings in the field before the Giants are comfortable activating him from the IL.
