Mike Yastrzemski - Swats homer in win Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Impact Yastrzemski's seventh-inning blast put the Giants ahead for good. The outfielder has found some success lately, going 7-for-22 (.318) with two homers and four RBI over his last six contests. Overall, he's maintained a .243/.307/.432 slash line with 11 homers, 42 RBI, 44 runs scored and three stolen bases over 113 games this year, mainly in a strong-side platoon role, though he hasn't been held out versus every southpaw. His main competitors for playing time are Mark Canha and Jerar Encarnacion, who have been utilized more frequently at first base and designated hitter rather than right field.

Grant McCray - Homer, steal in win McCray went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Impact McCray has homered in back-to-back games and has logged both of his steals over the last three contests. The 23-year-old has settled in easily as the Giants' starting center fielder, logging four multi-hit effort in 11 games. He's batting .308 with three homers, four RBI, five runs scored and three doubles through 42 plate appearances.

Matt Chapman - Clubs homer in win Chapman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Impact Chapman tied the game at 2-2 with his fourth-inning blast. The third baseman had gone just 1-for-15 over his previous four contests before breaking out of that short slump Tuesday. He's up to a .246/.333/.443 slash line, 21 homers, 64 RBI, 87 runs scored and 13 stolen bases over 130 games this season.

Camilo Doval - Snags win Tuesday Doval (5-1) allowed a hit and two walks while striking out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win Tuesday over the Brewers.

Impact Doval relieved Logan Webb in the sixth inning and quickly got two outs before loading the bases. Doval was able to get Jackson Chourio to fly out, ending the threat and setting the stage for the Giants to pull ahead for good on a Mike Yastrzemski two-run home run in the seventh. Doval hasn't allowed a run over 2.1 innings since he was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento, but he has walked three batters in that span. A high walk rate was a big part of what led to his demotion, and it'll continue to keep him out of the biggest spots in games moving forward. For the year, Doval has a 4.47 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 60:32 K:BB across 46.1 innings. He's no threat to Ryan Walker as the Giants' closer at this time.

Ryan Walker - Secures fourth save Walker allowed a hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Impact Walker gave up just a two-out single while protecting a one-run lead. He's continued his dominance in August, allowing one unearned run while posting a 24:2 K:BB over 12.2 innings this month. He's also earned all four of his saves in that span. Walker still looks to be the Giants' closer even with Camilo Doval back from a brief stint at Triple-A Sacramento. Walker has easily been the Giants' best reliever this year with a 1.95 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 90:15 K:BB over 69.1 innings.

Logan Webb - Yields two homers in no-decision Webb allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Tuesday.

Impact Webb gave up two-run home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. This was the first time in seven starts Webb has given up a homer, and the first time all year he's allowed multiple long balls. He also allowed more than two runs for the first time in six starts. Webb is now at a 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 150:44 K:BB through 177.2 innings over 28 starts this year. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Marlins.

Austin Warren - Recalled from Triple-A Warren was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site.

Impact Warren's last stint in the bigs was in 2023 for the Angels before undergoing Tommy John surgery. After signing with the Giants in February, he has recovered and healed with Triple-A Sacramento. In Triple-A for the season, he has a 4.95 ERA, but was been able to lock it down in his latest stretch. The 28-year-old has not allowed an earned run in his last eight outings and and has held a 1.54 ERA since July 14. In a corresponding move, Jordan Hicks was placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Impact Hicks surrendered one earned run over two-thirds of an inning during his latest appearance Saturday, though he appears to have come away from the outing with an injury. He'll now be sidelined until at least mid-September, and the Giants will recall Austin Warren from Triple-A Sacramento to replenish their bullpen depth.

Impact Ray suffered the injury during Sunday's start against the Mariners, forcing his exit after three-plus innings. He will be eligible for activation on Sept. 10, but with the severity of the strain not known, it's unclear whether he might have a shot to be back by that date.
