The second baseman has added a .253/.308/.382 slash line with six home runs, 31 RBI and 40 runs scored through 72 contests as a consistent presence in the Giants' lineup at the keystone.

Wilmer Flores - Provides margin of victory Flores went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Impact Flores hit a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning off Padres reliever Luis Garcia. This was Flores' first homer since June 25 and his 10th of the year. He's struggled since that date, going a paltry 5-for-30 (.167) in his last 12 contests. The infielder is slashing .240/.331/.404 with 43 RBI, 41 runs scored and 14 doubles through 308 plate appearances. Despite the recent skid at the plate, he should be reliably in the lineup most of the time, especially with Evan Longoria (oblique) and Tommy La Stella (illness) sidelined.

Luis González - Smacks double in return Gonzalez (back) went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Impact Gonzalez missed two weeks with a lower-back strain. The outfielder had cooled off in June, batting (.224) in 19 games before landing on the injured list, but he looked good during his rehab assignment. He's slashing .302/.364/.451 with three home runs, 13 doubles, seven stolen bases, 24 RBI and 20 runs scored through 50 contests this year. Gonzalez was essentially an everyday player prior to his injury, but he'll likely join a rotation of outfielders that includes Mike Yastrzemski, Joc Pederson and LaMonte Wade competing for three spots in the lineup against right-handed pitchers. The lack of a guaranteed place in the lineup limits Gonzalez's fantasy value to deeper formats for now.

Carlos Rodón - Strikes out 12 in complete game win Rodon (8-5) earned the win Saturday over the Padres. He allowed one run on three hits and two walks with 12 strikeouts in nine innings.

Impact For the ninth time in 17 starts, Rodon limited the opposition to one or fewer runs. This was the third complete game of his career, and his first since his no hitter on April 14, 2021. The southpaw dialed up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this year, and he threw 79 of 112 pitches for strikes. He's pitched to an excellent 2.70 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 124:32 K:BB through 100 innings. Rodon will likely get one more start before the All-Star break, which is currently projected as a home game versus the Brewers next week.

That recent performance may prevent him from getting claimed off waivers, though it's possible a team will value him for his experience and past success.
