Thairo Estrada - Scans clean, but out of lineupEstrada is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Philadelphia but expects to be available off the bench after scans on his injured right hand came back clean, Evan Webeck of The S...
ImpactEstrada played all nine innings and reached base three times in the Giants' 4-3 triumph over Atlanta on Sunday, but he came away from the contest hurting after being hit in the hand by a pitch in the top of the ninth. Fortunately for Estrada and the Giants, the pitch hit him on the forearm rather than on the hamate bone of his wrist, so he's likely just dealing with bruising or soreness rather than a serious injury. He'll take a seat for Monday's series opener, but Estrada should have a good chance at stepping back into the starting nine Tuesday.

Yoshi Tsutsugo - Nabs MiLB deal from GiantsTsutsugo agreed to a minor-league contract with the Giants on Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactAfter opting out of his minor-league deal with the Rangers in late June, Tsutsugo sat on the open market for nearly two months before finding work with the Giants. Due to the long layoff, Tsutsugo could first report to the Giants' spring training facility in Arizona before likely settling at Triple-A Sacramento, where he'll hope to perform well enough to make a case for a late-season promotion to the Giants. Over 208 plate appearances with Texas' Triple-A affiliate at Round Rock this season, Tsutsugo slashed .249/.380/.432 with six home runs and two stolen bases.

Nicky Lopez - Hits bench versus leftyLopez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
ImpactLopez appears to have taken over as Atlanta's primary second baseman since Ozzie Albies (hamstring) landed on the injured list last week. While starting each of the past six games, Lopez went 5-for-17 with two walks, three RBI, one run and one stolen base. Each of those starts came against right-handed pitching, but the lefty-hitting Lopez will retreat to the bench Monday in favor of Vaughn Grissom while Atlanta opposes southpaw David Peterson.

Vaughn Grissom - First start since recallGrissom will start at second base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Mets.
ImpactAtlanta faced right-handers for the first six games after Ozzie Albies (hamstring) went on the injured list, with Nicky Lopez receiving the nod at second base in each of those contests. However, with southpaw David Peterson taking the hill for New York on Monday, the lefty-hitting Lopez will head to the bench to clear room for Grissom at the keystone. Grissom is 0-for-2 in two pinch-hitting appearances since being recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett.

ImpactWith southpaw David Peterson on the mound for the Mets, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker will counter with a more right-handed-heavy lineup than usual.
