Mitch Haniger - Return not imminentHaniger (oblique) is not expected to join the Giants before the end of their upcoming homestand, Evan Webeck of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

ImpactMoncada might still be a little sore, but it sounds like he was going to sit this one out, regardless. He should be back in there on Friday in Pittsburgh.

Blake Sabol - In lineup again ThursdaySabol is starting at catcher Thursday against the White Sox.
ImpactSabol has been part of the Giants' starting lineup for every game so far this season, whether in left field or behind the dish. But the Rule 5 Draft pick hasn't quite taken advantage of the opportunity, going 1-for-12 with one walk and four strikeouts through five games. He's batting ninth Thursday in Chicago.

Sean Manaea - To start Saturday vs. KCManaea will start for the Giants on Saturday against the Royals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactManaea came out of the bullpen in his first appearance of the season Monday against the White Sox and gave up three earned runs on two hits and two walks over two innings of work. Now he steps into a rotation spot, at least for the time being. Giants manager Gabe Kapler has been noncommittal about steadily deploying a six-man starting mix.
