Giants OF AJ Pollock will be sidelined about 3 weeks with a strained left oblique muscle

New San Francisco Giants outfielder AJ Pollock will be sidelined for about three weeks with a strained left oblique muscle
AUGUST 10, 2023ASSOCIATED PRESS
AJ Pollock - Out three weeksPollock is expected to be out for three weeks due to his left oblique strain, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactPollock is slashing .165/.215/.308 through 144 plate appearances on the season, so the Giants won't be losing much production at the plate, but their depth will take a hit through the end of August. Heliot Ramos was brought up from Triple-A to temporarily fill Pollock's spot on the roster but likely won't be used often off the bench.

Marco Luciano - Dealing with hamstring injuryLuciano was removed from Tuesday's game with Triple-A Sacramento due to a hamstring injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactLuciano's removal from Tuesday's game was initially expected to be a sign of a promotion to the majors, but it seems Luciano was instead battling an injury. Luciano is slashing .244/.320/.422 in Triple-A and went 3-for-11 during his first MLB stint, so a return to San Francisco could be in the cards for Luciano after he recovers.
