ImpactBart was one of two Giants with multiple hits in the contest. He also showed off a little speed with his seventh-inning steal. Since rejoining the Giants on July 6, Bart has gone 11-for-41 (.268) with four extra-base hits and a 3:16 BB:K. The catcher is slashing .191/.303/.351 with six home runs, 13 RBI, 19 runs scored, two steals and three doubles in 51 contests, though his 42.8 percent strikeout rate remains discouragingly high.

Darin Ruf - Homers in Sunday's lossRuf went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Dodgers.
ImpactRuf had the Giants' biggest hit of the game, a game-tying, two-run homer off Clayton Kershaw in the fifth inning. It's been boom or bust for Ruf lately, as his last four hits have all been homers. The 35-year-old is up to 11 long balls, 38 RBI, a career-high 44 runs scored and two stolen bases through 296 plate appearances. He's maintained a .225/.334/.391 slash line, and it appears he'll continue to share playing time at first base and designated hitter with Brandon Belt and LaMonte Wade.

Dominic Leone - Dealt third lossLeone (3-3) allowed a run on one hit in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Sunday versus the Dodgers.
ImpactLeone was responsible for the first of the Dodgers' three runs in the seventh inning, and that was enough to stick the reliever with his second loss in as many outings. He's given up three runs in one inning across two appearances since the All-Star break, though that could be a product of facing the Dodgers' formidable offense. For the season, Leone has a 3.97 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB with 10 holds, two saves and three blown saves in 34 innings.

Alex Cobb - Takes no-decision SundayCobb allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5.2 innings in a no-decision during Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.
ImpactCobb allowed the first three batters to reach, but he was able to limit the damage to one run in the first inning. The Dodgers got to him for three more runs in the third, but Darin Ruf's two-run home run got Cobb off the hook in the fifth. The right-hander had completed at least six innings in three straight starts before the All-Star break, so this was a small step back. He now has a 4.26 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:22 K:BB through 76 innings in 15 starts overall. He's projected for a home start versus the Cubs next week.
