Johnny Cueto - Takes no-decision SundayCueto allowed four runs on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 5.1 innings versus Milwaukee on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.
ImpactFor the fifth straight start, Cueto failed to get through six innings. The 35-year-old was in line for the loss when he exited, but San Francisco pulled off another comeback to get him off the hook. The right-hander's ERA ticked up to 3.98 with a 1.28 WHIP and 92:24 K:BB through 104 innings this season. He lines up for a home start versus Colorado next weekend.

Brett Anderson - Start ends early due to injuryAnderson was pulled after five innings during his start Sunday against the Giants due to left calf cramping, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He gave up o...
ImpactAccording to Will Sammon of The Athletic, Anderson was pulled from the contest while warming up in the top of the sixth when his calf acted up. While it's encouraging that the Brewers are labeling his injury as a calf cramp rather than a calf strain or calf tightness, Anderson will need to complete a between-starts bullpen session without issue in the next few days to ensure he stays on turn in the Milwaukee rotation. Anderson departed with the Brewers up 3-1, but he won't be in line for his fifth win of the season after the bullpen coughed up the lead.

Travis Shaw - Slams two homers in rehab gameShaw (shoulder) went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in his rehab appearance for Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.
ImpactThrough the first eight games of his rehab assignment, Shaw is slashing an impressive .304/.448/.565 with a 5:6 BB:K. Shaw looks to have made a full recovery from a dislocated left shoulder and is eligible to join the Brewers for their upcoming series in Chicago against the Cubs, but it's unclear if he'll be activated immediately. Following the trade-deadline pickup of Eduardo Escobar, Shaw won't have a path to everyday at-bats at third base, and he may not have much value to the Brewers as a left-handed option off the bench.
