Phoenix Sanders - Inks minors deal with GiantsSanders signed a minor-league contract Thursday with the Giants.

ImpactSanders will be stationed at Triple-A Sacramento for now, but he could eventually get an opportunity in San Francisco given the team's poor bullpen work. The 27-year-old right-hander posted a 3.07 ERA with 12 strikeouts across his first 14.2 major-league innings last season with the Rays. Granted, his minor-league numbers from 2022 were not nearly as encouraging.

Michael Helman - Back on Triple-A ILHelman is back on the 7-day injured list with Triple-A St. Paul.

ImpactHe missed time earlier this year with a hamstring issue, so he may have re-aggravated that injury. Helman, who just turned 27, has hit .333 with a .434 OBP, four home runs, two steals and a 13.2 percent strikeout rate in 12 games at Triple-A this season.

Manager Gabe Kapler reiterated Wednesday that the Giants aren't concerned about Webb, whose previously start May 20 versus the Marlins ended early on account of the injury. Webb was able to throw from 90 feet Tuesday without issue and shouldn't be in store for any major restrictions with his workload Saturday.
