Mark Canha - Back from injured listCanha (illness) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactCanha has been out the past week while on the COVID-19 IL but will rejoin the active roster Wednesday after clearing MLB's testing protocols. The 33-year-old was off to a hot start prior to the absence, slashing .381/.500/.381 with three RBI and two runs scored in six games.

Matt Reynolds - Designated for assignmentReynolds was designated for assignment by the Mets on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactReynolds' contract was selected by the Mets on Friday, but he didn't have any plate appearances during his time with the major-league club. Mark Canha (illness) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, so Reynolds will lose his spot on the 40-man roster.

Jake Reed - Activated, sent downReed (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactReed was held out of Grapefruit League play due to his left oblique strain, and he spent the first two weeks of the regular season on the IL. Although he's now healthy, he'll head to Syracuse since the Mets don't have room in their big-league bullpen. The right-hander made 26 relief appearances at the Triple-A level last year and posted a 5.04 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 30.1 innings.

Alex Cobb - Dealing with Grade 1 strainCobb said Wednesday that he's dealing with a Grade 1 groin strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactCobb was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday after exiting his start against the Mets, but he downplayed the severity of the injury Wednesday and said he's hopeful he'll be able to return after a minimal stay on the IL. The Giants haven't yet indicated who will take Cobb's place in the rotation, but the right-hander will be eligible to return as early as April 30.
