Camilo Doval - Earns 14th saveDoval picked up the save Sunday in Oakland, striking out one and allowing a walk and a hit in the ninth inning of a 6-4 victory.

ImpactDoval got into trouble to start the inning with two on and only one out but managed to strike out Seth Brown and get Jed Lowrie to groundout to end it. It was his 14th save in 16 attempts this season and just his second save since the beginning of July. The lack of saves recently has more to do with the Giants slumping than Doval's performance as he's posted a 3.09 ERA and 17:6 K:BB since the beginning of July. For the season, the 25-year-old has a 3.00 ERA, matching his rate from last season, and a solid 57:19 K:BB in 45 innings.

Thairo Estrada - Homers in returnEstrada (concussion) went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-4 win Sunday in Oakland.

ImpactIn his first game back since suffering a concussion last Saturday, Estrada knocked a two-run homer to give the Giants a 4-1 lead in the sixth. He hit sixth and played second base. The 26-year-old has been a valuable player for San Francisco this season, filling in for Brandon Crawford at short and occasionally playing the outfield. The homer was his 10th of the year, making him one of just a handful of middle infielders with double-digit homers and stolen bases.

Austin Slater - Doubles, swipes bagSlater went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in a 6-4 win Sunday in Oakland.

ImpactSlater pinch hit for Joc Pederson in the fifth inning and drove in a run with a double. He also walked in the ninth and stole second. He is now 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts and 40-for-43 in his big-league career. The double was just his second hit this month as he's 2-for-21 in six appearances. He has a well above-average 12.6 walk percentage this season and a .372 OBP.

Adrian Martinez - Respectable showing in lossMartinez (2-3) took the loss Sunday against San Francisco, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five in 4.1 innings.

ImpactMartinez was called up before the game to fill the spot in the rotation left vacant when Frankie Montas was traded. The first run against Martinez came on a solo homer to Mike Yastrzemski in the third and the second in the fifth inning after he was removed with two on and one out. It was his fifth start of the season for Oakland and first since July 11. For the season he has a 6.08 ERA and 1.44 WHIP with six homers allowed in 23.2 innings. Should he stay with the big-league club, his next start will likely be next weekend in Houston.

Logan Webb - Strong performance in winWebb (10-5) earned the victory Sunday in Oakland, striking out five in seven innings while allowing two runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batsman.

ImpactWebb did not allow a hit until the fifth inning when Vimael Machin led off with a double and later came around to score. The 25-year-old righty recorded 11 groundouts and completed the seven frames with 97 pitches thrown. In his previous two starts, he allowed a combined 10 runs in 10.1 innings and Sunday's start was a step back in the right direction. For the season, his 3.17 ERA and 1.15 WHIP are very much in line with the 3.03 ERA and 1.11 WHIP he produced last season. His next start will likely be next weekend against Pittsburgh.
