J.D. Davis - Leaves with ankle sprainDavis left Tuesday's game versus St. Louis with a sprained right ankle, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactDavis injured the ankle early in the contest sliding into third base, and the veteran infielder was unable to continue. He should be considered day-to-day for now, but David Villar was removed from the Triple-A Sacramento game Tuesday, and he likely will receive promotion when/if the Giants place Davis on the 10-day injured list.

Mitch Haniger - Diagnosed with fractured forearmHaniger left Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals with a fractured right forearm, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactHaniger was plunked in the arm by Jack Flaherty, and he was diagnosed with a fracture after leaving the game. The outfielder will assuredly be placed on the injured list before Wednesday's game versus St. Louis, and it appears the Giants will bring up top prospect Luis Matos to replace Haniger on the roster.

David Villar - Removed from Triple-A gameVillar was removed from the lineup for Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday in the fourth inning.
ImpactVillar's removal is all but assuredly related to J.D. Davis (undisclosed) with Davis leaving with an injury against the Cardinals on Tuesday. The infielder would likely serve in a utility role if/when he receives a promotion come Wednesday.

Luis Matos - Removed from Triple-A gameMatos was removed from Tuesday's game for Triple-A Sacramento in the third inning, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactThis does not appear to be related to injury for Matos, but rather a potential call-up for the young outfielder after Mitch Haniger (undisclosed) was removed from Tuesday's game after being hit by a pitch. Matos has hit .398 with a 1.120 OPS for Sacramento, and is widely considered one of the best hitting prospects in the San Francisco system. He'd be worth a roster add in the majority of formats if he does receive a promotion to the 26-man active roster.

ImpactDavis appeared to injure his right ankle during an awkward slide into third base. The Giants will take a look at him and should provide more details shortly, but fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the time being.
