Jorge Polanco - Underwent knee surgery Polanco had surgery Thursday to repair the patellar tendon in his left knee, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. Impact Polanco had one of his worst seasons in 2024 as he tried to play through the year with knee pain that became more problematic. The switch hitter saw a dramatic dip in his production from the left side of the plate, producing an OPS of .646, which is 150 points below his career average of .796. The second baseman is expected to be ready for spring training, but it is not determined which uniform he will be in as the Mariners way a $12 million club option or $750,000 buyout.
