ImpactPallante worked in and out of trouble over the first four frames on Monday, only giving up one run before running into a buzzsaw in the fifth that was capped by a three-run double by Tyrone Taylor. Pallante had pitched well since joining the rotation in late May, posting a 3.61 ERA over 52.1 frames covering 10 starts, but Monday's outing was his fourth start in that span in which he allows four runs or more. He should get more opportunities to start as long as Lance Lynn remains out, but his days as a starter could end when Lynn returns to the fold.
