ImpactFloro threw 16 pitches in a simulated game Sunday, and he'll be cleared for game action in the minors less than a week later. It's not yet clear how many rehab appearances he'll make, but the minor-league outings should be the final step in his recovery process. The right-hander was viewed as a closing candidate prior to sustaining his shoulder injury, but the Marlins could ease him into action as a setup man once he's able to rejoin the major-league club.

ImpactEven though right-hander Kyle Wright is starting for Atlanta on Friday, Wendle will get a breather after going 4-for-14 with a double, two RBI and a run in his last four appearances. Brian Anderson will start at third base and bat seventh.

Packy Naughton - Recalled by CardinalsNaughton was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.

ImpactNaughton was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals in March after being designated for assignment by the Angels, and he posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 10 innings during five relief appearances in Memphis early in the year. He'll now provide bullpen depth for St. Louis after Drew VerHagen (hip) was placed on the 10-day injured list.
