Dusten Knight - Recalled Saturday Knight was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Saturday.

Impact Knight has been in the minors since late May, and he's posted a 3.64 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 29.2 innings over 23 appearances (one start) in Durham this year. He'll rejoin the Rays' bullpen after David McKay was sent down Saturday.

David McKay - Sent down Saturday McKay was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday.

Impact McKay allowed four runs on three hits and two walks in two innings Friday after being recalled from the Rays' taxi squad, but he'll head back to the minors a day later. Over his first two appearances in Durham, he's posted a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in two innings.

Drew Rasmussen - Activated prior to start Rasmussen (hamstring) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and is starting the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Toronto.

Impact Although Rasmussen is technically serving as the 27th man for Saturday's twin bill, he should remain in the Rays' rotation now that he's recovered from his left hamstring strain. The right-hander didn't require a rehab assignment prior to being activated, so it's possible that he's on a slight pitch count after missing two and a half weeks.

Francisco Mejía - Takes seat in matinee Mejia isn't starting the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Mejia went 2-for-12 with five strikeouts over his last four games and will take a seat for a second consecutive game. Rene Pinto is starting at catcher and batting seventh.

Impact Kiermaier returned from a hip injury after a minimum stint on the injured list to play center field and hit fifth. He struck out in his first at-bat but reached base in his next three plate appearances -- highlighted by an infield single in the fifth inning that led to his run scored. Kiermaier has maintained a .290 wOBA and 94 wRC+ across 193 plate appearances this season, though he has also chipped in 27 runs scored and five stolen bases.

Corey Kluber - Knocked out early in Toronto Kluber (3-5) took the loss Friday against the Blue Jays, giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks in three innings of work while striking out just one.

Impact Kluber faced the minimum through two innings but wound up facing 11 batters in a five-run third inning. Six of the first seven batters in that frame reached base, with five of them doing so via a double. He was replaced by Phoenix Sanders to start the fourth inning. If there's a positive here for Kluber, it's that the poor outing doesn't appear to be part of any sort of trend, as he'd given up a total of four earned runs across his last three starts. He'll try to recapture that level of performance Wednesday in Boston.
