Cole Sulser - Traded to Tampa Bay The Mets traded Sulser to the Rays on Friday for cash, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Impact Sulser was designated for assignment by the Mets on Monday, but instead of being claimed off waivers, the 34-year-old right-hander will head to Tampa Bay via trade. Across four major-league outings this season, Sulser has given up five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven across 4.2 innings. He's had far more success across his 24 outings with Triple-A Syracuse this season, posting a 1.48 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 30.1 frames. He'll stay at that level, with the Rays optioning Sulser to Durham following the trade.
