Stephen Vogt - Garners second straight startVogt will start at catcher and bat sixth Monday against the Padres.
ImpactVogt will climb one spot in the lineup after he went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI while making his Atlanta debut in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Rays. The lefty-hitting Vogt is expected to occupy the large side of a platoon at catcher with Kevan Smith until Atlanta gets Travis d'Arnaud (thumb) back from the 60-day injured list, likely around mid-to-late August.

Orlando Arcia - Not starting MondayArcia is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
ImpactArcia hits the bench after starting nine of 10 games. The glove-first shortstop unsurprisingly hasn't shown what it takes at the plate to be a regular left fielder, hitting just .250/.308/.361 thus far since his early-July call-up, so it's possible Atlanta pursues another outfield acquisition at the deadline. For now, Abraham Almonte will start in his place.

Wander Franco - Day off MondayFranco will sit Monday against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ImpactA lukewarm first 18 games shouldn't significantly diminish the hype surrounding a young player with as much pedigree as Franco, but it's fair to say the 20-year-old hasn't set the world on fire thus far. In his first 80 trips to the plate, he's slashed just .216/.275/.392, with his 23.8 percent strikeout rate, while still a perfectly fine number, more than tripling his career 7.9 percent mark in the minors. He'll get a rest Monday, with Taylor Walls starting at shortstop.

Brendan McKay - Set to resume rehab assignmentMcKay (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch in a rehab appearance Tuesday for the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
ImpactMcKay, who is working back from August shoulder surgery, previously began a rehab assignment in the FCL in late June, but he made just one appearance before being shut down after experiencing discomfort. After around three weeks of rest, McKay's shoulder discomfort has apparently subsided, so he'll begin to ramp up again. Expect McKay to make several appearances in the FCL or lower levels of the minors before Triple-A Durham activates him from its 7-day injured list and inserts him into the rotation.

Ender Inciarte - On COVID-19 ILAtlanta confirmed that Inciarte was placed on the injured list Monday due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
ImpactInciarte has been testing negative for the virus, so his deactivation may have been the result of him being a close contact of an infected person or persons. Assuming Inciarte remains negative in his subsequent testing, he could rejoin Atlanta before the end of the week.

Ender Inciarte - Moves to ILAtlanta placed Inciarte on the injured list Monday.
ImpactAtlanta didn't provide an injury designation for Inciarte, so his deactivation could be related to COVID-19 protocols. Regardless, Inciarte's absence shouldn't prove costly, given that Atlanta has Abraham Almonte and Ehire Adrianza to provide depth in the outfield behind regular starters Joc Pederson, Guillermo Heredia and Orlando Arcia. Inciarte hasn't started since June 26 and has only nine plate appearances off the bench since that time.
