Bobby Witt Jr. - Fills stat sheet SaturdayWitt went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Rays.
ImpactWitt opened the scoring with an RBI double in the third inning, and he added a two-run homer in the eighth to end it. He also stole third in his first trip on base as part of a double-steal with Andrew Benintendi. Witt's been running without much hesitation lately -- he has six steals in his last 10 contests. He's batting .349 (15-for-43) in that span. For the season, the rookie is up to a .256/.299/.457 slash line with 14 homers, 50 RBI, 51 runs scored, 19 steals, 19 doubles and five triples in 90 games.

Scott Barlow - Snags win SaturdayBarlow (4-2) earned the win Saturday versus the Rays. He allowed three hits in two scoreless innings.
ImpactBarlow didn't strike out or walk a batter. He kept the game tied, and stayed in the game after the Royals pulled ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Barlow's scoreless streak is up to nine innings over his last eight appearances, and he's picked up four saves and two wins in that span. The closer has a 1.97 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB through 45.2 innings. This was his 12th appearance longer than one inning this season, so he's no stranger to doing a heavier workload than a traditional closer.

Brady Singer - Strikes out 12 in no-decisionSinger allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out 12 over six-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Rays on Saturday.
ImpactSinger carried a no-hitter through five innings, but the Rays were able to cobble together a run against him in the sixth. He started giving up harder contact in the seventh, and Taylor Clarke couldn't protect a lead, leaving Singer with his third no-decision in his last four starts. The right-hander has been solid in that span, allowing eight runs (seven earned) in 23.2 innings while racking up a 32:10 K:BB, and he's notched three consecutive quality starts. He owns a 3.82 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 81:20 K:BB across 77.2 innings in 15 appearances (12 starts) this year, and he's projected for a tough road start versus the Yankees next week.

Luis Patiño - Decent against RoyalsPatino allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Saturday.
ImpactThe runs against Patino came in the third inning, but the Rays were able to get him off the hook in the seventh. In his second start back from an oblique injury that kept him out for three months, the right-hander was able to stretch out to 72 pitches (41 strikes), up from 56 pitches in his previous outing. He struggled against a weak-hitting opponent, and Patino now has a 6.75 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 3:4 K:BB across eight innings in three appearances this season.
