Wander Franco - Steals in consecutive gamesFranco went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Padres.
ImpactFranco is just 2-for-4 on stolen base attempts over his last four games, but the mixed results haven't deterred him from running. The shortstop is now 24-for-31 on the basepaths this season, ranking third in the majors in steals. He's been held hitless five times in 14 games in June, batting .281 for the month and .295 with an .822 OPS over 69 contests overall. He's added eight home runs, 32 RBI and 41 runs scored.

Zach Eflin - Takes third lossEflin (8-3) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings, taking the loss Saturday against the Padres.
ImpactEflin pitched well to earn a quality start, but Blake Snell gave up even less in the pitchers' duel. This was Eflin's seventh quality start of the campaign, and he has yet to give up more than four runs in any outing, providing steadiness for the Rays' rotation. The veteran right-hander is at a 3.26 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 77:13 K:BB over 77.1 innings through 13 starts on the season. He's lined up for a favorable home start versus the Royals next week.

Manny Machado - Swipes base in winMachado went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Rays.
ImpactMachado drove in the Padres' second run with a single, then stole second base. The third baseman hasn't made a huge impact on the basepaths, as this was just his third steal in four attempts this season. He's had trouble getting on base, as evidenced by a .291 on-base percentage and 5.7 percent walk rate, limiting his chances to run. The 30-year-old is hitting .248 with eight home runs, 26 RBI and 27 runs scored over 54 contests in a down year.

Josh Hader - Converts 17th saveHader allowed a hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Rays.
ImpactAfter a blown save to close out May, Hader has pitched five straight scoreless innings in June while earning four saves in that span. The closer has been scored on in just four of 28 appearances while pitching to a 1.32 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB over 27.1 innings. He's 17-for-20 in save chances on the year and once again looks like one of the best relievers in baseball.
JUNE 18, 2023ROTOWIRE
Blake Snell - Excellent against former teamSnell (3-6) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out 12 over six shutout innings to earn the win Saturday over the Rays.
ImpactSnell's excellent stretch continued for a fifth straight start, and this one came against his old team. Over his last 30 innings, the southpaw has allowed just two runs while posting a 45:13 K:BB. He's had 12 strikeouts in each of his last two starts, and he's enjoying some of his best pitching in years. Saturday's gem lowered his ERA to 3.48 with a 1.29 WHIP and 93:40 K:BB through 75 innings over 14 starts. Snell's next outing is projected to be on the road in San Francisco next week.
