Brendan McKay - Working out an extended springMcKay (shoulder) began a rehab assignment at extended spring training May 26.
ImpactAfter undergoing left shoulder surgery last August, McKay hasn't been cleared to pitch in games, but he was able to see action as a designated hitter for Triple-A Durham earlier this season. He went 2-for-22 in six games for Durham before he was moved to the affiliate's 7-day IL. The move isn't necessary indicative of a setback, as the Rays may have just wanted McKay to turn his focus toward advancing through his rehab program as a pitcher at extended spring training.

Charlie Culberson - Picks up fifth straight startCulberson will start at second base and bat seventh Sunday against the Rays, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
ImpactCulberson was initially scheduled to get Sunday off, but he was a late addition to the lineup after Khris Davis (illness) was scratched. Though he doesn't have a clear path to everyday playing time at any position, Culberson's multi-position versatility will allow him to pick up his fifth consecutive start. He also drew two starts at third base, one at second base and one at first base over the previous four contests.
