Robbie Ray - Fans 13 in 12th winRay (12-5) picked up the win in Wednesday's 6-3 victory over the Rays, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out 13 without walking a batter.

ImpactThe lefty continues to steamroll the opposition, regardless of who he's facing. Ray has fanned double-digit batters in five of his last six starts, lowering his ERA to 2.64 and WHIP to 1.01 -- both career bests, if he maintains that pace through his final outings -- while taking the MLB lead in strikeouts at 233 and bolstering his Cy Young case.

ImpactHis ninth-inning blast off Joakim Soria was too little, too late for the Rays. Phillips has gone yard twice in three starts since returning from an ankle injury Sept. 12, and on the season the bench outfielder has 12 homers, 14 steals, 39 RBI and 46 runs through 265 plate appearances, albeit with a poor .214 batting average.

Zunino has reached 30 homers in a season for the first time in his career, but it's the only consistent part of his offensive profile -- he's batting .176 (6-for-34) in September and just .203 on the year.

The right-hander served up a three-run blast to Bo Bichette in the first inning and never really recovered, although he was able to hang on for six innings to help save the bullpen a little. Wacha will carry a 5.56 ERA and 109:28 K:BB through 111.2 innings into his next start.
