Gets contract for '22 Hearn and the Rangers agreed Tuesday on a one-year, $1.05 million deal to avoid arbitration, Robyn Hearn of NewsChannel 6 Wichita Falls reports. Impact The news of Hearn's deal with Texas was broken by his sister, Robyn. The Rangers cycled through a number of traditional starters and primary pitchers out of the bullpen in 2021, with Hearn proving to be one of the more reliable options. He covered 104.1 innings in total over his 42 outings (11 starts), going 6-6 while producing a 4.66 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 92:42 K:BB. While those numbers aren't outstanding, Hearn at least appears to be penciled into a rotation spot to begin the 2022 season, which is enough to make him a draftable option in AL-only leagues.
