Austin Meadows - Tests positive for COVID-19Meadows will be placed on the COVID-19 injured list Friday after testing positive for the virus, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
ImpactMeadows was a late scratch from Friday's lineup, and he'll be forced to isolate from the team after testing positive for COVID-19. The 27-year-old will be eligible to rejoin the team as soon as he clears the league's health and safety protocols, but the Tigers will select the contract of prospect Riley Greene, who will make his major-league debut Saturday against the Rangers.

Riley Greene - MLB debut coming SaturdayGreene is getting promoted from Triple-A Toledo and will be in Saturday's lineup against the Rangers, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
ImpactOne of the top prospects in the game, Greene will be taking the place of Austin Meadows, who is headed to the COVID-19 injured list. Greene missed the first couple months of the year with an injury and is hitting .291/.350/.418 with one home run and three steals over his last 55 at-bats. While Meadows' absence should be brief, Greene may still be up for good, getting playing time over players like Willi Castro, Robbie Grossman and Victor Reyes.
