Willi Castro - Loses out on everyday roleCastro remains out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.
ImpactCastro finds himself on the bench for the second game in a row and looks like he'll have to handle a fourth-outfielder role for the time being after Detroit promoted top prospect Riley Greene from Triple-A Toledo over the weekend. Meanwhile, Victor Reyes has hit .333 since coming off the injured list June 11 and seems to have solidified himself as the Tigers' top right fielder for the time being, though both he and Castro will likely face a tougher path to playing time whenever Austin Meadows (illness) comes off the COVID-19-related IL.

Harold Castro - Not starting MondayCastro (calf) is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.
ImpactCastro is day-to-day after exiting Sunday's 7-3 win due to calf tightness, but even if he avoided an injury to close out the weekend, he would likely be on the outside looking in for a spot in Detroit's lineup. The Tigers reinstated Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list and will immediately slot him back in the starting nine at third base, the position Castro had been primarily playing for the past two weeks. Assuming his calf issue doesn't force him to the IL, Castro will likely handle a utility role for Detroit moving forward.

Jeimer Candelario - Back from injured listCandelario (shoulder) was activated off the injured list as expected Monday.
ImpactCandelario wound up missing two weeks with a left shoulder subluxation, but he's good to go after grabbing six hits (including two doubles and a homer) across four rehab games. The Tigers will hope to see more performances like that going forward and fewer of the games which saw him slump to a .181/.236/.319 line prior to the injury.

Glenn Otto - Rehab start on tap TuesdayRangers manager Chris Woodward said Otto (illness) will make a rehab start at Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Dawn Klemish of MLB.com reports.
ImpactOtto has resided on the COVID-19-related injured list since June 10, but he's cleared all protocols less than two weeks later and is in the process of ramping up. Woodward said that if all goes well during Otto's rehab outing, he could slot back into the big-league rotation during Sunday's home game against the Nationals.

José Cisnero - Rehabbing in FloridaCisnero (shoulder/Achilles) reported to the Tigers' spring training facility in Lakeland, Fla. on Monday to continue his rehab program, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
ImpactCisnero said he expects to spend about two weeks building up in Florida before heading to Triple-A Toledo for a rehab assignment. The right-hander opened the season on the Tigers' 60-day injured list while recovering from a strained shoulder and was cleared to begin a rehab assignment June 9, but he was pulled off the assignment after just one appearance when he experienced swelling in his Achilles' tendon.
