ImpactThe young shortstop has swiped five bags over the last four games without being caught, giving him 14 steals on the season in 16 attempts. Abrams' bat has also picked up the pace in July, as he's gone 11-for-30 (.367) to begin the month with two doubles and a triple. The 22-year-old has hit leadoff in three straight contests for the Nats, and he could be poised for a big second half.

Alex Call - Swipes eighth bagCall went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Rangers.
ImpactIt was another productive performance for Call from the ninth spot in the batting order. The 28-year-old has hit safely in five straight games since rejoining the big-league roster, going 6-for-16 (.375) over that stretch with two of his five homers and two of his eight steals on the season. Victor Robles (back) doesn't yet have a clear timeline for his return, so Call should continue filling in as the Nationals center fielder coming out of the All-Star break.

Stone Garrett - Swats sixth homerGarrett entered Sunday's win over the Rangers as a defensive replacement for Corey Dickerson in the top of the seventh inning and went 1-for-1 with a solo home run.
ImpactGarrett took Josh Sborz deep in the bottom of the seventh, giving the 27-year-old outfielder his third homer in the last nine games and sixth of the season. His role on the short side of a left-field platoon with Dickerson limits his fantasy utility, but the veteran will become a free agent in the offseason and could get flipped at the trade deadline, opening up more playing time for Garrett in the second half.

Dominic Smith - Clubs fifth homerSmith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Sunday's win over the Rangers.
ImpactThe first baseman will carry some momentum into the All-Star break after taking Dane Dunning deep in the fifth inning. Smith has only five homers on the season, but three of them have come in his last 13 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .295/.340/.523. On the downside, all three long balls came with the bases empty and he has no other RBI during that time, but if the 29-year-old stays hot in the second half, his production should catch up.
