Extends record to 4-0 Gonsolin (4-0) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven.

Impact Gonsolin picked up his second quality start of the campaign, tying his season high in innings and racking up his highest strikeout total of 2022. The right-hander gave the Dodgers 92 pitches, helping to conserve the bullpen near the tail end of a stretch of 14 games in 12 days. Gonsolin has been excellent for Los Angeles this season, posting a perfect 4-0 record while compiling a 1.64 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 33 innings. His 30:15 K:BB isn't ideal, but he's giving up so few hits that the walks haven't been much of a hindrance thus far.

Impact The right-hander wasn't exactly sharp, tossing 49 of 84 pitches before exiting, but Pittsburgh couldn't make much solid contact against Gonsolin and his offense handed him a 2-0 lead before he even stepped on the mound. He's lasted six frames only once in six starts and his 21.1 percent strikeout rate is a career low, but Gonsolin's still managed to post a 1.33 ERA and 1.07 WHIP through 27 innings.

Allows one run in win Gonsolin (2-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Giants, tossing five innings and allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Impact Brandon Crawford got to Gonsolin for a second-inning solo home run, but that was the only tally the Giants were able to record against him Wednesday. The right-hander again didn't go very deep in the outing -- he hasn't thrown more than 83 pitches in a start this season -- but he hung around long enough to earn his second victory. Gonsolin has taken full advantage of his opportunity to begin the season in the rotation, registering a 1.64 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 22 innings despite a less promising 18:9 K:BB. He's tentatively slated to make his next start in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Confirmed to start Wednesday Gonsolin is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Giants, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Impact Since Los Angeles had two off days this week, manager Dave Roberts didn't immediately commit to having Gonsolin pick up his start this week, but he'll end up staying on turn in the rotation. He's been sharp through his first four starts this season, submitting a 1.59 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB across 17 innings.

Whiffs five in no-decision Gonsolin registered a no-decision during Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Arizona, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk with five strikeouts in four innings.

Impact Gonsolin retired nine of 10 batters faced in the first, second and fourth innings but ran into trouble in the third, when four baserunners and an error led to three runs and a tie game. The damage amounts to the worst start of the season for the 27-year-old with the one bright side being the five strikeout in four innings while he previously had eight total in 13 innings. He's currently slated to pitch next on Tuesday against San Francisco.

Impact The right-hander gave up only one run over his first two starts of the season, but he finally pitched deep enough Wednesday to pick up his first victory. Gonsolin threw 83 pitches as he continues to build up to a full starter's workload and has a 0.69 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 13 frames this year.
