Danny Jansen - X-rays returned negative Jansen's x-rays on his right hand returned negative Thursday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Impact Jansen was diagnosed with a right hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch Thursday. The 28-year-old stayed in the game initially, and is now labeled as day-to-day. X-rays after the game proved nothing was broken and that it was just a contusion. The Blue Jays head into a series against the Cubs over the weekend.

Impact Jansen took a Noah Syndergaard changeup to the right hand/wrist in the top of the sixth inning, but he initially stayed in the game to run for himself and seems to have avoided a serious injury. Danny Jansen - Exits after HBP to wrist Jansen was removed from Thursday's game against the Guardians after taking a pitch off his right wrist, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Impact Jansen got hit by a 87.7 mph Noah Syndergaard changeup in the top of the sixth inning. He ran for himself before the Blue Jays called on Alejandro Kirk to replace him at catcher for the bottom of the sixth. Jansen finished the day 0-for-1 with a walk, the HBP and a run scored.

George Springer - Snaps homer drought in win Springer went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in a 1-0 win over Cleveland on Monday.
Impact In a game that lacked offense, Springer stood out with three of Toronto's eight hits. He produced the only run of the contest, swatting a solo shot off Logan Allen in the first inning. Impact With Toronto clinging to a 1-0 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth frame, it was Tim Mayza who got the call from the bullpen to close things out. The southpaw retired two of the three batters he faced, but the right-handed Hicks was called upon to finish the job against righty Oscar Gonzalez with two outs and a runner on first.
