Jordan Romano - Notches 21st save Romano allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Miami. He did not strike out or walk a batter.
Impact The right-hander gave up a two-out double to Bryan De La Cruz but otherwise had no issues closing out the Marlins. Romano has converted his past 11 save chances and has a 1.59 ERA and 13:2 K:BB across 11.1 innings during that span. He's 21-for-24 in save chances this year and is tied with Emmanuel Clase atop the league.

Yusei Kikuchi - Fires six shutout frames Kikuchi didn't factor in the decision Tuesday in Miami after he allowed just two hits across six scoreless innings. He struck out six and didn't walk a batter.
Impact The left-hander surrendered only a pair of singles but missed out on a victory since Toronto wasn't able to break a scoreless tie until the eighth inning. The dominant outing ends a streak of seven straight starts in which Kikuchi failed to pitch beyond the fifth frame. He had a 5.40 ERA and gave up 11 home runs during that stretch. The 32-year-old tentatively lines up to next take the mound this weekend versus Oakland, which is a favorable matchup to build on Tuesday's performance.

Brandon Belt - Runs and hits Tuesday Belt (hamstring) ran the bases Tuesday without issue, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Impact Belt also hit off a high-velocity pitching machine and drew a positive review from Blue Jays manager John Schneider. He could be activated from the injured list as early as Wednesday, though that move might be delayed until Friday with Thursday being a scheduled team off day. Belt has been on the shelf since June 13, retroactive to June 10, because of a left hamstring strain.

Spencer Horwitz - Another start at DH Horwitz is starting at designated hitter and batting eighth in Tuesday's contest in Miami.
Impact Horwitz didn't start the first game after his promotion on Friday, but he's since been in the lineup for each of the last three contests. It appears that he could carve out a regular DH role against right-handers while Brandon Belt (hamstring) is sidelined. José Berríos - Struggles versus Miami Berrios (7-5) took the loss Monday, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk over four innings against the Marlins. He struck out four.
Impact Berrios flirted with a no-hitter last time out, but he couldn't replicate that form and struggled mightily versus Miami. It was just the third time all season that the right-hander had given up at least eight hits and five runs in a game and the first time since May 1. Despite the poor outing, Berrios still sports an above-average 3.64 ERA and 1.21 WHIP while posting a modest 79:26 K:BB through 15 starts (89 innings). He'll look to shake off Monday's outing next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for a home matchup versus the Athletics.
