Impact Gimenez wound up missing nearly a month of action with a right quad strain, but he's been cleared to return to action after going 2-for-12 in four rehab games. The 26-year-old is sporting just a .577 OPS in 36 contests with the Blue Jays in 2025.

Impact Sandlin was given the green light to begin a rehab assignment after he tossed a live batting practice session Friday without incident. The right-hander has been on the shelf since April 20 with a right lat strain and will likely make multiple appearances in the minors before returning from the 15-day injured list. He could be ready to rejoin the Toronto bullpen around the middle of June.

Impact Activated from the 60-day IL earlier in the day after recovering from a forearm issue, Swanson entered the game in the top of the eighth inning with the Blue Jays down 3-2 and had trouble finding the plate. In addition to allowing a leadoff single to Willie MacIver, he uncorked a wild pitch and plunked Denzel Clarke with a 91.1 mph fastball before finally escaping the frame with minimal damage. Swanson then found himself in line for the win when Addison Barger launched a go-ahead, three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth. The right-hander could eventually work his way into a high-leverage role, but Sunday's performance suggests Swanson still has some rust to shake off first.
