Alek Manoah - Optioned to Florida Complex League Manoah was optioned to the Blue Jays' Florida Complex League affiliate Tuesday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Impact The move comes one day after Manoah was pummeled for six runs while recording just one out in a loss to the Astros to push his ERA on the season to 6.85. The Blue Jays sending Manoah all the way down to their FCL affiliate figures to mean he won't be pitching in any games right away and instead will be working on mechanics and other things in hopes of regaining his old form. He'll likely be put into the Triple-A Buffalo rotation once he's deemed ready, with the hope that he'll eventually return to Toronto.

Mitch White - Next rehab outing coming Wednesday White (shoulder) is scheduled to make his next rehab appearance with Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.
Impact White has resided on the Blue Jays' injured list all season while recovering from shoulder trouble and is now in the midst of his second rehab assignment. When he began the initial rehab assignment April 26, White appeared to be building up for a starting role, as he logged no fewer than 2.1 innings in any of his six outings before his 30-day rehab window closed May 27. He was able to restart the assignment last Thursday but has made 1.1-inning and one-inning appearances for Buffalo thus far, with his usage suggesting that the Blue Jays are now preparing for him to work out of the bullpen once he's activated. White has no minor-league options remaining, so the Blue Jays don't have the luxury of having him stay on a starter's schedule in the minors when he's brought back from the IL.

Impact The 25-year-old shortstop continues to tear the cover off the ball. In 33 games since the beginning of May, Bichette has 16 multi-hit performances while slashing .348/.378/.532 with six doubles, six homers and all three of his steals on the year. After he pilfered 38 bags on 47 attempts over the prior two years, it stands to reason that he'll continue being more successful on the basepaths the rest of the way in 2023.
