Brayan Rocchio - Out with concussionDouble-A Akron placed Rocchio on its 7-day injured list Monday due to a concussion.

ImpactRocchio presumably picked up the injury during his last game Sunday against Richmond, when he doubled in his lone at-bat before exiting the contest. The 21-year-old switch-hitting infielder isn't known to have a prior history of head injuries, so the Guardians should have some optimism that he'll be in store for an abbreviated absence. Before sustaining the concussion, Rocchio appeared in 25 games for Akron and slashed .236/.324/.393 with three home runs and two stolen bases.

Carson Tucker - Shut down with forearm strainSingle-A Lynchburg placed Tucker on the 7-day injured list Monday with a right forearm strain.

ImpactThough the 20-year-old shortstop should face a shorter timeline for a return from the injury than a pitcher would, he'll still likely be sidelined for multiple weeks while recovering from the injury to his throwing arm. The 2020 first-round pick has yet to see any action for an affiliate this season after slashing .150/.320/.300 across 25 plate appearances in his professional debut in 2021 with Cleveland's rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.

ImpactBrennan split time between Akron and High-A Lake County last year, collected six home runs, 50 RBI, 70 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 102 contests. The eighth-round pick from 2019 has hit the ball even better in 2022, picking up 26 RBI, 11 runs scored, two homers and three steals. If he can keep this up, a move to Triple-A Columbus could be in the cards sometime this summer.

Adam Cimber - Stuck with loss SundayCimber (4-2) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, recording only one out while giving up a run on two hits and a walk.

ImpactEntering a 3-3 tie with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, Cimber couldn't find that third out, issuing a free pass to Andres Gimenez in between sharp singles from Franmil Reyes and Oscar Mercado. The sidearmer hadn't pitched since Tuesday, but he might still be feeling the effects of a fairly heavy early-season workload that has included a lot of high-leverage spots. Cimber sports a 2.84 ERA and 0.87 WHIP with a save and five holds over 13 appearances and 12.2 innings.
