Corey Knebel - Latches on with HalosKnebel signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.ImpactKnebel was released by the White Sox at the beginning of the month, and he'll now get a chance to carve out a role for himself in the Angels organization. The 32-year-old righty allowed seven earned runs in just two innings with Chicago's High-A affiliate while working his way back from a shoulder injury, though he threw 5.1 scoreless frames upon returning to Triple-A. If he's able to remain effective with his new club, Knebel may be called upon to pitch in the majors for the first time since August 2022.
