Mitch White - Throws live BPWhite (shoulder) threw a successful round of live batting practice Friday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
ImpactLongley writes that White looked "strong" during the live BP, which took place at the Blue Jays' player development complex. With his offseason shoulder impingement now in the rearview, the 28-year-old should soon get into Grapefruit League games as he looks to state a case for the final spot in Toronto's season-opening starting rotation. Yusei Kikuchi is the clear leader in that competition as things stand right now.

Cavan Biggio - Launches first spring homerBiggio went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's split-squad game against Atlanta.
ImpactGetting the start at second base and hitting second, Biggio turned on an inside pitch from Spencer Strider in the third inning and drove it over the wall in right field. Biggio has gone 8-for-22 with a homer and a steal through eight Grapefruit League appearances, and the 27-year-old could see consistent playing time in a utility role this season for the Blue Jays. With a .213/.320/.353 slash line over the last two seasons, however, his primary fantasy value could lie in his position flex rather than his performance at the plate.

George Springer - Clubs first spring homerSpringer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's split-squad game against Atlanta.
ImpactThe veteran outfielder took Bryce Elder deep in the seventh inning for his first homer of the spring. Springer has gone 4-for-18 with a double and Thursday's home run through six Grapefruit League appearances as he gears up for his third season with Toronto after amassing a .266/.346/.502 slash line through his first 211 games with the club.

Yandy Díaz - X-rays come back negativeDiaz's left hand X-rays came back negative, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
ImpactDiaz had to be removed from Friday's game after being plunked, but he's managed to avoid any fractures. It was the first baseman's first game back in action after he had missed time with a hip flexor injury. Diaz should be ready to play again in a day or two.

Kevin Gausman - Shuts down AtlantaGausman gave up two hits and struck out two over 3.2 scoreless innings in Thursday's split-squad game against Atlanta.
ImpactThe veteran righty was efficient, tossing 32 of 48 pitches for strikes against a lineup of bench players and minor leaguers. Gausman hasn't seemed to have much trouble adjusting his mechanics in response to MLB's new balk crackdown, tossing 5.1 scoreless innings over two spring starts with a 5:1 K:BB as he builds up ahead of Opening Day.

Yandy Díaz - Leaves game after HBPDiaz was removed from Friday's Grapefruit League game against Atlanta after being hit on the hand/wrist area by a pitch, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
ImpactDiaz was just returning to action after missing time with a hip injury and now has a new issue to deal with. He'll likely be sent for X-rays, at which point the Rays should have an update on the first baseman's condition.
