Working out of bullpen Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Toussaint will be available out of the bullpen behind opening pitcher Jesse Chavez in Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, David O'Brien of T... Impact Snitker didn't explicitly say that Toussaint lost his rotation spot, but that appears to be the implication, given that he hasn't pitched since being tagged for four runs on five hits and three walks in four innings in his last start Sept. 14 versus the Rockies. Toussaint won't necessarily work as a primary pitcher behind Chavez either, as Snitker termed Tuesday's contest as a bullpen day since Atlanta will have its full complement of relievers available. Atlanta will have a need for a fifth starter again Sunday in San Diego, but the early expectation is that the team will get by with another bullpen game rather than reinserting Toussaint into the rotation.
