Returns to majors
The Royals recalled Zuber from Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Kansas City was able to bring Zuber back on the 28-man active roster less than 10 days after demoting him since starting pitcher Brady Singer (arm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday in a corresponding move. Zuber should stick with the big club for its remaining five games of the season, likely working in a low-leverage role out of the bullpen.

Demoted to Triple-A
The Royals optioned Zuber to Triple-A Omaha on Monday.
Impact
Zuber was dropped from Kansas City's bullpen to make room for another right-handed reliever in Dylan Coleman, who earned his first big-league call-up. Over 30 relief appearances with the Royals this season spanning 26.1 innings, Zuber has posted a 5.81 ERA and 1.52 WHIP.

Inconsistent recently
Zuber has allowed three runs in his last 5.1 innings.
Impact
The right-hander has had some trouble with home runs this season, allowing six in 26.1 innings overall. Zuber's inconsistency with keeping the ball down has led to a 5.81 ERA at the major-league level, although he's been better with a 3.04 ERA in 26.2 innings with Triple-A Omaha. He'll likely remain in a low-leverage role over the final two weeks of the season.

Rejoins Royals
The Royals recalled Zuber from Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Impact
The righty returns to the big-league club only a day after being optioned. With a 6.00 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 21 innings of relief this season, Zuber figures to pitch in nothing more than low-leverage situations in this latest stint with Kansas City.

Zuber (0-3) allowed two earned runs on two hits while striking out two across one inning, taking the loss against the Mariners on Sunday.

Rejoins big club
The Royals recalled Zuber from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Impact
Kansas City placed starter Brady Singer (shoulder) on the injured list in a corresponding move, but Zuber won't be called on to take Singer'is spot in the rotation and will instead work out of the bullpen while he's up with the big club. The 26-year-old righty has previously made 20 relief appearances for Kansas City this season, posting a 6.35 ERA and 1.71 WHIP.

Takes extra-inning loss
Zuber (0-2) allowed an unearned run on one hit and one walk in one-third of an inning in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.
Impact
The right-hander couldn't escape the bottom of the 10th inning, as Manuel Margot hit a walkoff single. Zuber has taken the loss in two of his last three outings. The 25-year-old has a 5.52 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB across 14.2 innings this season. While he's picked up three holds, Zuber hasn't received many high-leverage opportunities, and he did nothing Wednesday to indicate he should see more.

Charged with loss Friday
Zuber (0-1) allowed two runs on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in two-thirds of an inning in Friday's 7-5 loss to Detroit.
Impact
The right-hander inherited two runners after Mike Minor allowed a pair of singles to begin the seventh inning. Zuber faced the minimum three batters -- he got some help from his defense, but his walk loaded the bases. Greg Holland then entered the contest and allowed a grand slam to Miguel Cabrera, with two of the runs charged to Zuber for the loss. The 25-year-old has posted a 6.08 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB in 13.1 innings this year. With inconsistent efforts, he'll likely remain in a low-leverage role.

Ineffective Tuesday
Zuber allowed two runs on a hit and a walk in two-thirds of an inning during Tuesday's 8-7 loss to Detroit. He also hit a batter.
Impact
Zuber relieved starter Brady Singer, but the former wasn't very effective in a short appearance. Zuber was able to escape a jam in the fourth inning, but he put the first two batters aboard in the fifth, and Jake Brentz allowed both inherited runners to score. The 25-year-old Zuber now sports a 5.56 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 10:5 K:BB across 11.1 innings. He's picked up two holds, but he's more likely to see low-leverage assignments since he's allowed runs in four of his last seven outings.
