Impact With Fuentes' rehab window coming to a close and the Nationals not having a spot for him on the 28-man active roster, he'll head to Triple-A after completing a five-appearance stint across multiple lower-level affiliates. Fuentes built up to 5.1 innings in his most recent rehab start for Double-A Harrisburg on Friday, so he could slide into a spot in the Rochester rotation.

Impact Sanchez saw sporadic playing time during his stint with the major-league club, and he'll be cast off the 40-man roster after Jordy Mercer (calf) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday. Impact Mercer landed on the injured list with a left calf strain July 24, but he began a rehab assignment at Double-A Harrisburg last week. He went 3-for-9 with a run, two walks and three strikeouts across three rehab games and will rejoin the Nationals as utility depth after Adrian Sanchez was designated for assignment.
