Joe Ross - Five shutout innings in return Ross (elbow) allowed three hits, two walks and a hit batter while striking out four over five shutout innings in a no-decision versus Philadelphia. Impact Ross had been out with elbow inflammation since July 7, but he was effective Monday. The right-hander threw 72 pitches (44 strikes) and didn't have his best command, but Philadelphia was unable to punish him for it. He had completed six innings in five of six starts prior to his stint on the injured list. For the year, Ross owns a 3.80 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 95:30 K:BB through 92.1 innings. He lines up for a home start versus the Cubs this weekend.
