Ryan Zimmerman - Three hits, two RBI in lossZimmerman went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to Atlanta.
ImpactThe 36-year-old played a key role in Washington's comeback effort, knocking an RBI single in the seventh inning and an RBI double in the ninth. Zimmerman was left aboard after the latter when Josh Bell grounded out to end the game. Sunday was Zimmerman's first three-hit game since May 22. He's seen less than a platoon role, essentially serving as Bell's backup most of the time lately. Zimmerman has a mediocre .245 batting average with a .760 OPS, 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 21 runs scored and 11 doubles through 203 plate appearances.

Patrick Corbin - Gives up two homers in lossCorbin (6-11) allowed five runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Sunday versus Atlanta.
ImpactThe 32-year-old gave up two-run home runs to Ozzie Albies and Adam Duvall in the contest, the latter ultimately enough to saddle him with a loss. Corbin has now allowed at least four runs in five straight starts while yielding nine homers in that span. He has an uninspiring 5.83 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 95:39 K:BB through 122 innings across 22 starts. The southpaw is projected to make his next start at home in a rematch with Atlanta next weekend.

Adam Duvall - Clubs 24th homerDuvall went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 win over Washington.
ImpactThe outfielder's sixth-inning blast gave Atlanta just enough offense to stave off Washington's comeback. Duvall has homered twice and driven in seven runs through seven games in August. He's collected 24 long balls, 76 RBI, 45 runs scored and five stolen bases through 100 games between Atlanta and Miami this year.

Ozzie Albies - Clubs 18th homerAlbies went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 win over Washington.
ImpactThe second baseman went deep in the third inning to put Atlanta ahead in the contest. It was Albies' first extra-base hit through seven games in August and just his fourth hit in 27 at-bats this month. For the year, he's slashing .257/.321/.477 with 18 homers, 72 RBI, 70 runs scored and 13 stolen bases.

Chris Martin - Holds on for first saveMartin allowed a run on two hits and struck out one in one inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over Washington.
ImpactWill Smith had pitched three of the last four days and blew a save Saturday versus Washington, so Martin was brought in for Sunday's save chance. He gave up an RBI double to Ryan Zimmerman but worked out of trouble to convert his first save of the year. Martin has a 3.90 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB across 30 innings this season. Richard Rodriguez worked 1.1 scoreless innings for a hold, but it's unclear if the workflow Sunday is indicative of the current bullpen hierarchy in Atlanta or just a product of the matchups.

Max Fried - Yields one run in winFried (9-7) allowed a run on seven hits and a walk while striking out five in six innings to earn the win Sunday over Washington.
ImpactThe 27-year-old was excellent in his third straight quality start, and he picked up his second win in that span. The only run Fried gave up came on an Alcides Escobar single in the third inning. Through 103.2 innings, the southpaw has a 3.91 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 106:34 K:BB, although he's yielded just 10 runs in his last 36 innings. He lines up for his next start as a road rematch with Washington next weekend.
