Nelson Cruz - Three walks in lossCruz (ankle) went 0-for-1 with three walks in Wednesday's 5-0 loss to the Mets.
ImpactCruz missed one game after being hit by a pitch above his left ankle Monday. The designated hitter wasn't able to get a hit against Carlos Carrasco and three Mets relievers, but the three walks were a season high for Cruz. The 41-year-old is up to an 11.3 percent walk rate this year. He's added a .235/.325/.341 slash line with four home runs, 27 RBI, 23 runs scored, six doubles and a stolen base through 47 contests.

Evan Lee - Takes loss in big-league debutLee (0-1) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 3.2 innings, taking the loss versus the Mets on Wednesday.
ImpactLee pitched fairly well in his first action above the Double-A level, but the Nationals' offense didn't support him very well. The 24-year-old southpaw has done alright with a 3.60 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 37:15 K:BB across 30 innings in seven starts with Double-A Harrisburg. Manager Davey Martinez said after the game that Lee is likely to get at least one more turn in the rotation, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. Lee's next start is likely to be on the road in Miami next Tuesday barring any changes to the Nationals' plans, but he's still got a ways to go before securing his spot in the majors, as Stephen Strasburg (neck) is expected back around the middle of June.

Brandon Nimmo - No hits in returnNimmo went 0-for-5 in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Nationals.
ImpactNimmo missed four games with a right wrist sprain, and he wasn't able to get on base in his return to the lineup. The outfielder hit leadoff in Wednesday's contest, which saw his 10-game hitting streak come to an end. Overall, he's at a .284/.376/.438 slash line with three home runs, 17 RBI, 29 runs scored, four triples and eight doubles in 191 plate appearances. Nimmo should see a near-everyday role going forward as the Mets' starting center fielder.

Tomás Nido - Four hits in winNido went 4-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Nationals.
ImpactThis was Nido's third multi-hit effort of the season as well as his first career four-hit game. He knocked in a run in the fourth inning with a single before adding a two-run double in the eighth. The catcher is up to a .253/.276/.289 slash line with nine RBI, seven runs scored and three doubles through 30 contests. Nido appears to have picked up a slight edge in playing time over Patrick Mazeika, with the former starting in each of the last three games.
