Jackson Rutledge - Could debut WednesdayRutledge is en route to Pittsburgh and could make his major-league debut Wednesday versus the Pirates, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan reports.

ImpactWashington has yet to name a starter for Wednesday's game, and it appears that Rutledge might get the nod. The right-hander was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft and has worked to a 3.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 106:55 K:BB in 119 innings (23 starts) this season between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester.

Bailey Falter - Starting for Pirates on TuesdayFalter will start for the Pirates on Tuesday against the Nationals, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

ImpactPittsburgh has used Falter as a bulk reliever three times and a traditional starter four times in his seven appearances since coming over from the Phillies via trade. It will be the latter role Falter will serve Tuesday, as manager Derek Shelton has opted against using an opener. Falter's last traditional start came on Aug. 27, when he was torched for six runs over 4.2 innings in a loss to the Cubs.
