Patrick Corbin - Tagged for six runs in lossCorbin (9-12) took the loss Wednesday, allowing six runs on 10 hits and a walk over five innings in a 7-0 loss against the Blue Jays. He struck out five.

ImpactCorbin had been pitching well coming into Wednesday's start, posting a 2.12 ERA over his previous three outings. The Blue Jays got to him early, scoring twice in the first inning, eventually handing Corbin his first loss since July 24. Overall, the left-hander now sports a 4.90 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP and 109:48 K:BB across 27 starts (154.1 innings) this season. Corbin will look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Mets.

Alejandro Kirk - Three hits in winKirk went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

ImpactKirk opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-out, two-run double before adding a third RBI with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The 24-year-old Kirk has gone 6-for-11 with four doubles in his last three games following a 4-for-31 (.129) stretch in his previous 10 contests. While Danny Jansen had been getting the majority of starts behind the plate recently, Kirk could regain some playing time with his hot bat. He's now batting .255 with six homers, 33 RBI, 25 runs scored and a .686 OPS across 331 plate appearances this season.

ImpactIt was a dominant performance from Bassitt after he was tagged for four runs over 5.2 innings in a loss to Cleveland in his prior start. The 34-year-old right-hander had been somewhat inconsistent recently, pitching to a 5.09 ERA in his previous three starts (17.2 innings). Overall, Bassitt sports a 3.81 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP and 151:52 K:BB across 28 starts (165.1 innings) this season. He's currently in line for a road matchup with the A's in his next start.
