Signs in Mexican League Calhoun signed a contract with the Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican League on Tuesday.

Impact Calhoun appeared in 64 games last season for the Angels, slashing .245/.315/.380 across 254 plate appearances. He elected free agency at the end of the year and will now begin the 2025 campaign in Mexico after not receiving any calls from an MLB team.

Impact Calhoun has been the Angels' primary designated hitter and cleanup man against right-handed pitching since he was added to the roster back in early May. However, after slashing just .245/.315/.380 over 254 plate appearances, the Halos have decided to remove him from the 26-man and 40-man rosters. Calhoun seems likely to clear waivers.
