Fills in for Odor Rivera started at second base and went 0-for-2 in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Athletics.

Impact Rivera filled in for the injured Rougned Odor, who was scratched due to an eye infection. Rangers manager Chris Woodward opted for the right-handed-hitting Rivera against Oakland lefty Sean Manaea instead of Derek Dietrich, a lefty batter who later replaced Rivera when right-hander Lou Trivino entered the game. Rivera is hitless in five plate appearances since being prompted to the active roster.

Swipes bag Sunday Rivera went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Mariners.

Impact Rivera reached on an error in the sixth inning and stole second, but the Rangers couldn't bring him home. Sunday marked Rivera's first game of 2020 -- he hit .183/.258/.217 with two steals, three RBI and eight runs scored in 34 outings with the Marlins last year. Rivera is likely to see just a part-time role while Elvis Andrus (back) is out.
