Impact The part-time outfielder is now hitting .375 in 16 at-bats this season. Daza earned a roster spot with a strong spring training and may work his way into the lineup more regularly with more offensive showings like Thursday's. So far, though, he's primarily been a pinch hitter, having started just three games.

Impact Daza was able to secure a spot as the Rockies' fifth outfielder after supplying an .883 OPS over 44 at-bats during Cactus League play. The 27-year-old possesses high-end speed and could prove to be a useful weapon off the bench, but he's unlikely to find regular starts while at least three of Charlie Blackmon, Raimel Tapia, Garrett Hampson and Sam Hilliard are healthy.

Impact Daza is competing for a reserve role on the major-league roster during camp this year, and he made a strong case while coming within a triple of the cycle in Tuesday's Cactus League matchup. The 27-year-old is out of options but has impressed during spring training in 2021. Across 14 spring games, Daza has gone 13-for-28 with a home run, three doubles, six runs, four RBI, one stolen base and five strikeouts.
