Records quality start in loss Darvish (1-1) allowed one earned run on one hit and walked two while striking out nine over seven innings of work in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Impact The righty was phenomenal as he threw 68 of his 98 pitches for strikes and his sole mistake came on walking opposing pitcher Clayton Kershaw in the fifth inning. Darvish hasn't skipped a beat since being traded to San Diego, holding a 2.55 ERA on the year and his next chance to take the rubber will be on Friday against the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw again.

Fans six in win Darvish (1-0) allowed one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings Monday, striking out six and picking up a won over the Pirates.

Impact Darvish earned his first win as a Padre by taking care of the Pirates with relative ease Monday. He tossed 63-of-95 pitches for strikes and retiring 13 of the final 14 batters he faced. The lone run he yielded came from a Phillip Evans double in the third innings. The 34-year-old will face his toughest test of the season at home against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Impact Darvish bounced back from a rough opening day outing by firing six strong innings. His only blemish on the evening was surrendering a solo home run to Brandon Crawford in the third as he otherwise held the Giants to a couple of singles. The Padres unfortunately weren't able to give him much run support so he was unable to qualify for the win, however, he should have a good chance for another dominant performance in the series opener against the Pirates on Monday.

Impact Darvish allowed three singles and an earned run in the first inning, but then held the Diamondbacks scoreless for the next four frames. However, his outing was derailed in his final inning of work when he allowed one solo and one two-run home run. Darvish also induced only nine swinging strikes on 93 total pitches. While he likely just experienced an Opening Day hiccup, Darvish will look to bounce back in his second start of the campaign Tuesday against the Giants.
