Wins Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Verstappen won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday evening.
Impact The Red Bull Racing star would cover Lando Norris well at the lights out and dive strongly into the first turn. That move would seal Verstappen's lead and allow him to push away to a controlled and comfortable lead. He would surrender the lead to Oscar Piastri during opening pit stops but would soon resume the lead after the McLaren youngster finished his long opening stint. Verstappen would cruise to a 12.5-second victory over Piastri would be powerless to prevent Lando Norris' P3 and narrow margin of victory in the world championship. It was the eighth win of the season for Verstappen.

Impact Mercedes and McLaren would lead both opening sessions of qualifying and Verstappen would do just enough to get through safely. Clearly, he was saving something big for Q3 and the reigning world champion delivered. Verstappen would put down a strong opening flying lap but he would go out in the closing moments of Q3 and post a mind-blowing lap of 1:22.207. He would beat Norris by two-tenths to secure pole position for Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Verstappen will have an inside track on the win in this season finale.

Impact Verstappen would get off well from the lights out and make a move around the outside of Norris into P2 exiting turn 1. An early-race safety car on lap 7 would bring Verstappen and a good part of the field to pit road for fresh tyres. The two McLarens would instead stay out. The strategy blunder would give the Red Bull Racing star the lead on lap 25 and then it would be his race to dictate from that point on. Verstappen would hold off Piastri down the stretch and collect the victory by nearly 8-secods over the McLaren driver.

Impact The Red Bull Racing star would see Lando Norris cut across his path at the lights out in an attempt to cut him off going into turn 1. However, Norris would run wide in the turn carrying too much speed in the corner. Verstappen would make the overtake and control P1 for the next 50 laps. Norris would have to battle to regain P2 at one point but couldn't catch back up to challenge for the win. It was Verstappen's sixth victory of the season as he would drive away to the 21-second win.

Rallies from Pit Lane Start Verstappen finished third in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Red Bull Racing star would start from pit lane after a power unit change and several changes to his car under parc ferme. Verstappen would go to work right away and march to P13 in the opening laps and caution periods. He would have to pit for a tyre puncture on lap 7 and in a masterclass move of race strategy, would take on medium tyres. Verstappen would continue his move forward and into the lead by lap 51. He would pit once more for soft tyres down the stretch and make it all the way to P3 but couldn't catch and pass Kimi Antonelli for second-place. it was Verstappen's 12th podium of the season.

Impact It was a shocking performance to say the least. Verstappen had no pace and lacked grip to post quick flying laps in Sao Paulo. The Red Bull Racing star would end the session P16 and miss advancing into Q2 for the first time in four years. According to reports, the team have replaced the power unit and completely rebuilt the car under parc ferme. If so, Verstappen will start from pit lane Sunday and face an uphill battle to challenge for a podium in Brazil.

Podium Run in Mexico Verstappen finished third in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Verstappen would opt for a bit different race strategy Sunday at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The Red Bull Racing star would start the day on medium tyres and run a bit longer opening stint. He would get past George Russell on the opening lap and would run wide on two separate occasions but the stewards would not penalize him. Verstappen would stalk Charles Leclerc in the closing laps and seem to have the overtake in sight. However a late virtual safety car for the disabled Carlos Sainz would rob him the chance to take P2. Verstappen would settle for a strong third-place and 11th podium of the season.

Impact Warm and dry conditions would set the stage for this second practice at the Mexico City circuit. There were a number of off-track moments as drivers really pushed the envelope in this session. However, Verstappen would seemingly master the course with his circuit of 1:17.392. It would be the fastest lap of the day in Mexico City and nearly two-tenths clear of Leclerc. The Red Bull Racing star looks poised to be the top contender to win in Sunday's Mexico City Grand Prix.

Impact Unlike the Saturday Sprint, Verstappen would get away well at the lights out and everyone would carefully navigate turn 1 without incident. The Red Bull Racing star would execute a one-stop strategy at lap 33 and that would allow him to retain the lead for the entire grand prix. Verstappen would end up managing his soft tyres over the final laps but he would drive out to a strong 8-second victory over Norris. It was his fifth win of the season and 68th-career victory.

Impact A four-wide battle into turn 1 after the lights out would end in disaster as both McLarens would be caught up in Nico Hulkenberg's contact. That would allow Verstappen to get away cleanly and set the pace for this 19-lap Sprint race. He would face down a challenge late from George Russell but would hang on as the race ended under the safety car for an incident between Lance Stroll and Esteban Ocon. Verstappen will pocket the valuable championship points and prepare for Sunday's grand prix in Austin.
