Fifth-Place at Phoenix Bell finished fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon. Impact It would be a pretty dominant performance for the driver of the No. 20 Toyota. Bell would take the lead for the first time on lap 72 and he would lead a race-high 143 laps. The Joe Gibbs Racing youngster would finish stage 2 in second-place and have the track position to challenge for the win. Bell would surrender the lead to Ryan Blaney at lap 236 and would eventually fade to fifth-place by the checkered flag. It was his 15th Top-5 finish of the season.
