Wins Bristol Dirt Pole Custer won the pole for the Food City Dirt Race NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.

Impact Custer earned his first-career pole position by charging from ninth- to second-place in the first of four qualifying heat races at the Bristol dirt track. He would finish runner-up to Tyler Reddick in that heat, but because of the passing points he'd earn the pole position for Sunday night's main event. Custer will start alongside Christopher Bell on the front row in the Food City Dirt Race. The young Stewart Haas Racing driver appears to be a Top-5 threat.
