Top-5 Finish at Kansas Hamlin finished fourth in the AdventHealth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Joe Gibbs Racing star would rally from starting in the rear of the field to work his way forward. It would take Hamlin until the end of stage 2 to finally break into the Top 10. From there he'd continue working his way through the field and get around Christopher Bell to collect an impressive fourth-place finish. The performance was greatly needed by Hamlin and snapped his five-race Top-10 drought.

Impact Hamlin qualified 22nd on Saturday, but had an issue with a tire during his lap. The team is already behind the eight ball after crew chief Chris Gabehart was suspended for four races following a tire following off during last week's Cup Series race at Dover. Darlington is arguably Hamlin's best track, but he will have a lot to overcome if he wants to compete for a win. His win at Richmond is still his only top-10 finish in 11 races this season.
